Douglas Barillas
ArtReach Artist since 2015
Douglas Barillas’ artwork consists primarily of two components: line drawings of what he sees in his environment; and interpretations of what he sees internally. Alphabets, abstracted people, and gestural shapes all form his language, what he says through his art. The tools of choice that he utilizes for his creations are oil sticks, pastels, pens, pencils –all of which aid the immediacy of his thoughts in their directness. He uses acrylics and oils as well. Though relatively new to making art, Douglas has already formulated his own artistic voice. In Douglas’s very first gallery exhibit, he had a sell-out show.
