Jay Belk was born and raised in the Bay area. He is a proud resident of Daly City which he knows like the back of his hand. Jay draws inspiration from dreams, nostalgia and the world around him.  He often recreates street scenes and portraits of people he sees around town. Jay has a uniquely bold style, characterized by  geometric shapes and strong color choices favored over representational or realistic.
