Michael Broadhurst was born and raised in Greensborough, North Carolina and currently lives in East Palo Alto. Michael has a great love and respect for nature and animals, both real and imaginary. His compositions commonly depict an array of creatures, mythological beasts, and landscapes in acrylic, watercolor, colored pencil and India ink. Michael aims to capture not only their external environment, but also their spiritual world. In addition to nature themes, his illustrations explore the genres of pop culture he relates to and admires, with the same charismatic effect. Michael’s work has been exhibited at Art Saves Lives Gallery, deYoung Museum , Walt Disney Family Museum, Salada Beach Café, Sanchez Art Center, San Mateo County Fair and SF Zine Fest.
